At IGI, our core values reflect who we are and what we stand for as a company. Community outreach is an important core value that helps drive our work with ScentsAbility Candles.

ScentsAbility Candles is the WORK Pillar for The IDDeal Foundation, providing opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through Work, Live & Play. At ScentsAbility Candles the focus is on ABILITY, not DISABILITY. Adaptive tools and processes are created to allow all of the Artisans to participate in the candle-making process. Our job training program focuses on hands-on skills including measuring, pouring, wicking, packaging, selling, and customer service. Additional support is provided as needed giving everyone the opportunity to be a productive member of the community.

ScentsAbility Candles, a non-profit corporation, has been providing job training since 2012 and is the recipient of a United States Congressional Proclamation, and has won many awards for its work with the I/DD population. As a member of the National Candle Association, ScentsAbility Candles are made with the best raw materials including IGI 6006 and 6036 wax; which has been generously donated by IGI for over 7 years. ScentsAbility’s Corporate Co-Branded candles are meaningful gifts; recently selected to provide Global Ambassador and Corporate gifts for the 2023 World Games in Berlin for Special Olympics International.
