INTERFLO® 66 (1266D)
Product Info
INTERFLO®66 is a high melting point hydrocarbon wax which is used as an efficient and economical external lubricant for extrusion of rigid polyvinyl chloride. The addition of minor amount to the compound in conjunction with lubricants improves the process ability and also the appearance of the finished product. As this wax is food grade, all processed articles may be used in contact with all types of food. Since this wax has low compatibility with PVC, it has an external lubricating effect, by preventing sticking of the compound to the metal surfaces of the processing equipment. It also retards the rate of fusion, thus providing a relatively low apparent viscosity of the compound prior to fusion. This wax is sold in a free flowing granular form which can be uniformly dispersed throughout the compound.
NSF STATUS: Standard 14 certification under PPI-TR3 for rigid PVC potable pipe, plastic piping system components and related materials.
FDA STATUS: This product meets the FDA requirements set forth in 21 CFR 178.3710, 21 CFR 176.170 and 21 CFR 176.180 for use in contact with food.
